Kaizen’s New Leadership Structure With Jeremy McDonald as CEO
Published: 06/12/23 - Updated: 09/07/24
NEW LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE
The year 2023 was a significant one for Kaizen, marked by several notable events. We relocated to a new office, set up a formal base in Manchester and welcomed some amazing new team members. We also celebrated our company’s 10th anniversary, prompting us to reevaluate our long-term strategy and vision for the future. As a result, we have some team updates to share.
We are excited to announce a leadership transition. After 10 years since starting Kaizen, our CEO, Pete Reis-Campbell, has decided to step down and become Chair & Founder. Jeremy McDonald, our Managing Director since 2019, has been appointed as the new CEO.
Pete said “After leading the company for 10 years, it is now time for the next chapter in Kaizen’s story.
“I met Jeremy and Kristi a decade ago when we were all young adults with huge ambitions. As a result of joining forces, Kaizen in the past few years has transformed into an innovative, fast-growth business thanks to their incredible leadership.
“Since creating Kaizen, it has continued to reach heights beyond my wildest dreams. I will continue to provide guidance and mentorship to the leadership team in my new role as Chair & Founder. I can’t stop Kaizen from growing up. But equally, I wouldn’t miss it for the world.
“I’m so excited to see where Kaizen goes as we enter our next phase of growth under Jeremy and Kristi’s leadership.”
Our New Leadership Team
Jeremy was essential in expanding our business during his time as Managing Director. He advanced departments like Paid Media and Influencer Marketing and helped us increase our client base, contributing to almost a 100% increase in revenue during his first two years despite the pandemic’s restrictions. Given his significant contribution to Kaizen’s growth, Jeremy’s appointment as CEO was a natural choice.
In this new position, Jeremy will be responsible for the overall vision and direction of the business, including all strategic and commercial aspects. He will also lead the global expansion of Kaizen’s offerings.
To complement this change in leadership, Kristi Hoyle, previously the Operations Director, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Kristi will continue to lead the delivery and client teams as they work towards building the next generation of leadership within Kaizen.
Jeremy said, “It’s an exciting time for the business and reflects our growing ambition to become the best organic agency in Europe. Focusing on our key values; innovation in our industry, delivering value for our clients and creating a people- first agency.
“There is a huge opportunity for us in 2024 to expand our offering of Digital PR with our already established international services. So it’s never been a better time for Kaizen and I’m thrilled to have the talented team around us to deliver this vision.”
Investing in Our Team
As Chief Operating Officer, Kristi will play a crucial role in bringing our business plan to life. She will oversee all departments, ensuring our administrative and operational functions run seamlessly.
This includes supervising our Digital PR, SEO, and Social departments, ensuring they use resources wisely and promoting the strengths-based development of all team members. Our goal is to optimise the use of our resources and talent, fostering continuous growth and success for the business.
We’re always looking for the best talent to join us here at Kaizen. If you’re interested in joining an industry-leading & forward-thinking agency, please get in touch.
