The Role

The Growth Director is responsible for driving the expansion of Kaizen in the UK & Europe. Drawing on extensive industry experience, an established network, and a deep understanding of the needs of clients, you will develop strategies and initiatives to grow the market presence of Kaizen and build a pipeline of opportunities to expand our customer base. As a recognised leader within the industry, you’ll be a champion for Kaizen and direct our thought leadership and representation within the market.

This role is a senior leadership role at Kaizen. Reporting to the CEO and being one of the 3 leads across the agency; commercial, operations and clients. The role will be a key driver in the commercial function across client acquisition and client expansion. Managing the team of sales representatives to drive consistent outbound opportunities, working with marketing to align on key events and messaging and expanding services for top tier clients. You will act as the commercial arm of the business. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop key growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans while leading from the front in business development efforts.
  • Analyze market trends and adapt strategies to maintain competitive advantage and top industry positioning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate marketing strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Mentor and manage a team of marketing professionals, setting clear goals and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Collaborate with CEO and client services to identify opportunities to grow our existing portfolio
  • Be a recognised thought-leader externally and generate new commercial opportunities for Kaizen via your network, events, publishing articles, and other similar activities.
  • Increase overall awareness and interest in Kaizen as a recognised and trusted digital partner through marketing and personal reach
  • Own relationships with key partners, press, media, intermediaries, and the digital community
  • Input and lead on the pitch process in collaboration with CEO & product leaders to increase win-rate
  • Be a trusted senior partner to our clients and contribute to long-term client retention and success through collaboration with Client and Operations teams
  • Grow and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders within client and partner organisations
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of Kaizen’s service offering and the connections between each capability
  • Deep understanding of client business strategy; ability to translate business needs into strategic collaboration proposals and opportunities
  • Established network and understanding of the UK market dynamics for digital advertising

About You

  • 7+ years of marketing agency experience
  • Prominent industry voice with experience speaking at events  
  • Commercially driven with proven sales track record 
  • Clear expertise to intertwine outbound, inbound and event based client acquisition strategies
  • Natural leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate 
  • Proactive and driven individual with a passion for digital marketing
  • Experience selling solutions across European markets
  • You’re a hardworking team player
  • You’re an ambitious person and never want to stop growing and learning
  • Enjoys multi-tasking and has very strong personal organisation skills
