Meet the Speakers
Pete Reis-Campbell, CEO & Founder of Kaizen
By combining the very best in traditional PR tactics and scaling them with a content marketing strategy, Pete has built a unique approach to creating digital content and convincing journalists to cover it every day. His agency, Kaizen, founded five years ago, is the fastest growing content marketing agency in the UK (as awarded by The Drum), and has launched over 600+ campaigns for the purposes of link building and secured over 10,000+ links off top tier sites. This year, we were also named ‘Content Marketing Agency of the Year’ by The Drum.
Kat Watson, Digital PR Manager at Kaizen
Joining Kaizen from an extensive digital PR background, Kat has already achieved phenomenal link-building and PR results whilst here. Working on clients such as Lastminute.com, TUI, Npower and more, she has created hundreds of top-tier links and built reliable relationships with journalists. Her thoughts on the digital PR industry have been featured in PRMoment and StartupNation, and she regularly contributes to multiple publications.
Kat’s talk, ‘How to Apply the 6 Hats Method to Digital PR’, will centre on how to integrate critical thinking within a digital PR strategy. In the current climate, a digital PR professional has to encompass creativity, technical SEO knowledge, fantastic writing skills, multitasking and, above all, continual self-assessment. Using de Bono’s method, Kat will compartmentalise all the necessary skills and approaches, and discuss the best ways to find a balance.
David White, Associate Director of Content Marketing at Edit
David is the Director of Content Marketing at Connective3.com, leading the PR, content and outreach strategies for some of the biggest brands around the globe. With a background in business management and marketing, David has a deep understanding of the wider marketing mix and how this contributes to a brands bottom line.
His talk on building international links follows on from a Digital PR debate following BrightonSEO, and will discuss whether they hold value for a UK brand, as well as how to approach outreach for different destinations, including using social media to build ideas before moving on to the best outreach methods per country.
