  • The campaign

    As part of an ongoing campaign with eToro, we wanted to produce data-led content that fundamentally told a story. Kaizen created the “Who Are the Crypto Investors?” piece, exploring the profile of those investing in cryptocurrency.


    The piece features age, gender, industries, experience levels, and breaking down interest by the different cryptocurrencies available.

  • Results

    The campaign went viral, earning over 1,000 pieces of coverage and over 600 follow links. One reason for its success was timing; we released the campaign when cryptocurrency was very much in the news. However, it also highlighted the huge gender disparity within cryptocurrency, as less than 10% of investors are female.

    The piece saw media pick-up across 1000s of different publications and news outlets, including The Next Web, Bitcoin News, and News BTC, as well as significant international media.

    The majority of these pieces of coverage feature SEO-valuable follow links.  As a result, the coverage and results far exceeded the established KPI for the piece – of just 7 follow links.
