  • The role

    Reporting to your SEO Account Manager, we are looking for a SEO Assistant to help deliver some of our most important accounts.

    You will be supporting the delivery of SEO for clients, working closely with an SEO Account Executive to learn our product and grow your skills. You will demonstrate a passion to learn and grow, taking it upon yourself to improve yourself every day. You will learn the technical and analytical skills, both through demonstration and self-learning, to support your Account Manager in delivering outstanding work with a keen eye for detail.

    You will be carrying out analysis of client websites, reviewing technical and content issues, building reports, and analysing keyword data to help inform our client recommendations. Your responsibility will be to deliver analysis with a strong attention to detail and desire to learn the fundamentals of SEO and digital marketing.

    You will be joining a team at various levels of expertise, with a real opportunity to learn from those around you, boosting your career prospects and professional development. You will be bringing your own technical experience and ability, and in time be expected to lift the wider team with your gained knowledge.

  • Key responsibilities

    • Carrying out keyword research to help direct client recommendations
    • Supporting on technical audits and driving the subsequent recommendations for clients
    • Supporting building monthly SEO reports
    • Reading & understanding SEO guidelines & best practice through self-learning
    • Ensuring best practice use of tools such as Google Analytics, Moz, SEO Monitor and Screaming Frog amongst others. 

     

    After 12 months you will be achieving:

    • Identifying ideas for new articles and landing pages based on keyword research
    • Supporting the creative process on your accounts
    • Staying on top of technical issues affecting your client websites
    • Keeping up to date with latest SEO initiatives and applying these learnings to your work
    • Progressing deliverables without assistance
    • Identifying gaps and opportunities based on keyword and backlink analysis
    • Supporting on technical audits and driving the subsequent recommendations for clients
    • Producing monthly SEO reports and creating insightful next steps
    • Keeping up to date with the latest SEO technology, SEO updates and industry changes
    • Increasing client communication and exposure, becoming a confident communicator in front of clients
    • Regularly contributing to wider team initiatives and on SEO Friday sessions
    • Able to provide guidance to new team members of the Kaizen approach and regularly lifting those around you in the wider team
  • About you

    People are at the heart of Kaizen and a new SEO Assistant should demonstrate, with examples, that they:

    • Have technical experience, which can be a scientific degree, web design or dev experience, data manipulation, or experience working on the SEO of a website
    • Experience working in a web-specific role or project
    • Proven ability to timely manage responsibilities and organisation skills
    • Ability to handle technical challenges
    • Self-motivator, enjoys problem-solving and coming up with fresh solutions to questions
    • Some understanding of SEO
    • Enthusiastic desire to continually learn and develop personal skills
    • Proactive in nature, taking great personal pride in the quality of work you deliver
    • An eye for detail with an analytical approach to problem solving
    • A collaborative approach to work, a team-player who can be flexible to support business needs
    • Outgoing nature with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
    • Like getting creative with content ideas and approaches to problems
